From what I've read and little bit of expereience, to make it more bitter and taste good so that it still tastes like tea and not ground dirt, you should just use more tea , not let it steep longer I know that rule a little too well. My mom made tea once and used a bag intended to make five gallons of tea, but she only had a pitcher that was a gallon and a half. It was like drinking coffee. And that shit was caffeinated. No double espresso, Red Bull, or caffeine pill has ever given me a jolt like that.

So... yeah. If it weren't a frivolous waste, I'd put two or three teabags in every (normal-sized) mug.
Just wondering, but have you tried black tea? It's not common here, so I dunno how common it is other places. I like my tea bitter too, but not overly so, and black tea is just about right for me. I know some people like theirs almost like coffee though, which black tea still is no where close to in bitterness. >.>

I found a Chocolate Mint tea. Since then I rarely drink any other tea. The only other kinds I can recall drinking recently are Licorice Spice and "Miles' Rare Chinese Oolong", which is higher quality as it's not in tea bags. Obligatory

Obligatory That made me giggle. But I don't like tea. It's just not in my taste as an American. But has anyone ever had a tostada? Great stuff.

Agreed. Tostadas are amazing, especially ones made in such a way that they don't get soggy after a couple minutes. Also Jet /envious of your local bakery. The closest thing I have is a Panera Bread, which is still pretty good, but doesn't compare to homemade stuff. I... do not know.
Like FatMan said, Earl Grey is a good black tea. I let mine steep for 4 minutes.

The problem with Panera bread is that it's expensive as all hell. I don't feel like I should spend more than $3-$5 on breakfast, and five bucks is stretching it. But I went to Panera once and spent $9. I was like UMM EXCUSE ME BUT WTF IS GOING ON HERE.

Soggy? What are you eating it on, bread? I don't thing I've ever had a soggy tostada on a fried tortilla shell. But that's probably because I eat it within 5 minutes after making one. <3

One of my favorite caffeteria foods when I was a kid, TOSTADOS! DAMMIT! I'm a big meat eater, roasted and barbaqued are my favs. My mom makes the most incredible baby back ribs and the cool part is she has does it all on good judgement. Whenever someone complains their propane does not do justice to the meat I tell them, 'you need to let the coals simmer down to embers and then, that's when you act!' >: D My quest right now is to find foods that taste as good as they look in the cook books. Sadly, the only places I can find this are some China resturants and some very expensive fine eateries >:'c
