I just watched 61 issues of the comic. Sweet stuff. Though I didn't really like the zombies.
Why whats wrong with the zombies?? I haven't read the comic yet, please tell me they aren't talking zombies or like the ones from cell?? Gods I hope not.

The only problem with the zombies I can see people might have, is that the story is mostly social based. There are fight scenes, but they're usually short and to the point; the focus of the story is the reactions/interactions of the living.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the zombies. They are your classic, dumb, slow type, with a tendency to horde together if they come across enough. The INFECTION is where I could see people having a problem themselves, not the zombies, and even then, the story has not delved deep enough into it (the infection).

What I disliked with the zombies in The walking dead is their magic fucking ability to traverse immense, near barren, distances individually. You'd think after a few months, cities would be the safest places simply because every zombie has left! Also, quite the number of the zombies sit around all day and won't give chase to prey unless you tease them to it. Which make me more puzzled about the numbers of wanderers.

Well, I can kind of see what you mean, but a wiki of Atlanta (which I think was the city they were near) says there's 540,000 in the city, and "2,387,520 households in its metropolitan area". Consider that even people not in the metropolitan area was flocking to it as the nearest city, and that's a lot of zombies. I'll over simplify things and guess there's only million zombies after you remove the survivors and the people that were eaten too much to become zombies. Say 50% of the zombie's are the lazy ones, the let's over estimate and say 90% of the shamblers left the city, and you still have 50,000 shamblers walking around in the city, at least.

Yeah, the shamblers walk aimlessly and are drawn to noise, or horde together if enough of them are around. The other ones, which I forget what they are called, just lurk about. They do come without being provoked, but the instance you're probably speaking of BB, is when Rick and Glenn rub zombie parts on themselves to "hide" from the zombies (which I thought was kind of lame, but whatever).
I hate being presumptuous though, so let me know if there was something I missed.

Yeah, I remember that zombie was like "Raaaah" when they got close(before they smeared themselves in Zombie goo) but it didn't stand up and was like "meh" once they got like a meter away. Sure, their function would be almost like a landmine. You step within their grabbing reach and *BAM*! Teeth in your foot. And then you think they are a corpse at distance.

IT'S ALIVE. since i'm new i have new views that must, MUST, be posted. i rather like the thing where they rub zombie parts on themselves. i mean, how does a zombie tell humans and zombies from eachother? they're driven by the need for flesh, but i don't think they would have the ability to tell humans and zombies apart just from looking at them. so smell, right? rapid movement, smell and noise is usually what attracts a predator to a prey, so if you conceal your delicious ob with zombie parts, you should think the zombies would not see you as food.

Better quality version of the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg46DWI_fCE&NR=1&feature=fvwpNow that looks interesting. I mean we've had plenty of zombie splatterhouse so it's nice to see the *human* side of events.
