In movie nights I've been a part of elsewhere, things were easiest to start at 5pm PST, 8pm EST, etc. Europeans would have to be night-owls though, and not have anything planned in the morning. The movie nights here were basically around the same time though. We just seem to lack motivation/interest/organization, which is our ultimate downfall. >_>; I've noticed that happens in several places though, so it seems pretty common.

Yeah, Ive noticed that successful things like this essentially happen when someone just picks a time and runs with it regardless, people will fit their time around it if they really wanna be there and it's consistent.
