Iron Sky (Finnish: Rautataivas) is an upcoming Finnish feature-length comedy science fiction film. TeaserAs World War II comes to an end in 1945, Hans Kammler and other German scientists make a breakthrough in anti-gravity research. From a secret base in the Antarctic, Nazi spaceships are sent to the "dark side" of the Moon to establish the military base "Schwarze Sonne" (Black Sun). Their plan is to build a powerful fleet and return to conquer Earth. The film is set in the year 2018 when their descendants finally return http://www.ironsky.net/--------------------------- Looks pretty damn awesome! I have waited this so long. Their last movie Star Wreck: In the Pirkkinning was pretty funny Star Trek spoof EDIT. SRSLY! How can you go wrong with SPACE NAZIS!!!

Mark Kermode has an interview with the director on his blog. The movie apparently has funding and is being shot this autumn. And it gets better. Udo Kier has agreed to star in it and the soundtrack is being recorded by Laibach. This film promises much. With all this promise, it had better be good.

Sounds cool, and the music was epic lol. On a side note, I thought there was a thread for new/upcoming movies or something so there was not a new post for every movie? I don't mind, just yeah

We may fail alone, but that is better than dying with them, only to be forgotten. I for one, would rather suffer now, than leave this life without passion.

Not only has it been funded, it has been made and the world premiere is at the Berlin Film Festival next month. Let's just hope someone likes it enough to give it a distribution deal! http://youtu.be/kn3cmYJ4Pw4Trailers are here if anyone hasn't seen them already. http://youtu.be/JHs2nKI0dXk

Laibach soundtrack? Go on, tell me they're playing their version of Queen's "One Vision"! It is mandatory!

I was thinking with Achtung or Opus Dei, but you're right, if One Vision isn't on the soundtrack it damn well should be.

The Soundtrack MUST have "Master Race in Outer Space" by the Vandals. Sadly I could only find the live version on you tube which is ok but the intro irks me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=H11o58hjxdY

God darn it, the UK release has been delayed for about 6 weeks. This means I have to wait until June to see it. And after the good Doctor Kermode saw it and said it is actually not bad.

And as we all know when Dr K says "not bad" he speaks to us Ultra Horror/Film Freaks. After all he IS "Doctor in Horror". To the uninitiated look up "Kermodian Rant" with "Pirates of the Caribbean" if you want a laugh. "It's the death of narrative cinema...!" etc.
