SPACEHULK!!!!!!! About 20 years ago me and Dr_Evil used to play that. As Marines I'd get all but wiped out, except for my Lightning Claws Marine. Who would then carve a bloody path through any and all Genestealers and complete the mission on his own. For some reason, and without cheating, I always max damaged with thos things: 2D6+4 I think it was. Loved that game.

Fun fact:
Space Marines > Everyone else.
Games Workshop will not let silly balancing fuck their lore.

I've read one book on the WH: 40k universe and that was about the battle sisters, awesome story. I don't think I'd ever get into the table top playing because I'm to far along to invest my time in something as awesome as this universe (I stick with the Dawn of War series, and soon to be released Space Marine for current-gen consoles, looks like it will be following guy from Ultra Marines). Anywho, I'd like to know what a good starting block is for fictional reading in the universe if anyone could point me to it. Thanks!

The best revenge you can achieve in world of the undead is surviving, living, and remaining human. - Max Brooks said something like that in one of his masterpieces. If you'd like, check out my blog about games, zombies, and anything really! http://gamermuscle.blogspot.com/

When it comes to Warhammer 40K, the reading is all basically "AND THEN THE IMPERIUM WAS BADASS. THE SPACE MARINES SHOWED UP IN THAT SHIT LIKE FUCK YOU AND KILLED EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE ONLY FOUR MARINES VS. FORTY FIVE THOUSAND FUCKING MILLION TYRANID."
It's like that in the game, too.
"Alright, my fire warriors are going to fire at your terminators. That's 19 hits, and 18 wounds."
"Okay. I have thirty saves."

Log, and then this shit happened. Ever heard of a small chapter in imperium history called THE HORUS HERESY??
Yeah, then the few totally fucking badass leigons of the space marines could hear the voice of chaos, and they all fucking turned and wrecked shit up. Thousand Sons, World Eaters, Emporers Children, Motherfucking DEATH GUARD. What were they doing fighting for your carrion corpse emporer in the first place? And now, those marines have been given daemonic powers beyond comprehension. What now. One marie against fifty million nids? you got it. Eldar? more like dead elf faeries. Tau? Fuck the tau. Space marines? Theyll all succumb to the wills of the mighty Anarch whose word drowns out all others. Anyway Chaos Marines > Everything

So, has anyone else come across the massive problems with this game's balancing?
Like, how Space Marines and Chaos are retardedly broken and require little to no skill to beat even the best laid plans of every other army?
