How would the operatives know who they're looking for? Or should they start assassinating random citizens? Edit: Also, even if they were able to identify some citizens as being magic users, how do you track someone that leaves no electronic footprints? but but but It wouldn't just be a regular spec Op... it would be a Unit trained into fighting the dark arts with anti Magic Material Anti Magic Rounds, or even better... anti Magic field

Yeah, but humans don't have access to that technology, or the balls to demand it.

Pffft and wizards do? Them and their pesty wands are of no match for a high caliber sniper I mean there is a reason why Mr VoldmOld wanted to destory the mogul world

Wouldn't "anti-magic" essentially be a type of magic itself, making the operatives wizards also, making them turn on their government?

That's why they would cooperate with the magic government (or whatever it's called).

I agree, that part of the story could use a little explanation. I would say maybe in a future book but she isn't doing anymore...and I trust not the fan fiction *shutters* the evils of the interweb still haunt me...

No, it's magic. The anti magic areas in the books are created through a series of spells. Actually, this argument makes no sense, because nobody would believe anyone who said anything about Wizards, because they would never have any proof in any way. And, now that I think about it, I'm pretty positive there would be a spell to ward against all kinds of projectiles, and in the magical world, it's pretty easy to enchant things. So, a pair of underwear that stops bullets mid-air wouldn't be surprising in the least.

Consider that most wizards haven't the slightest idea what a "bullet" or "gun" is, so they would be quite vulnerable until they learn. The hard way.

Final Solution: 1. drug one identified wizard, and while he is asleep, put a pocket nuclear device in him- like joker did with an oridinary bomb in batman2. find out when the wizard is going to be in hogwart, and set timer. 2. wait. 3. profit.
after the loss of hogwart wizards would take a long time to reorganize and would be easier to pick one by one. also, it would take a lot of time for their population to rebuild itself.

@Tanaj: The worlds really aren't separated enough for that. I'm pretty sure they all have at least a vague idea of the regular world, as a lot visit it pretty frequently.
@Sok: That would do nothing but kill hundreds of Children. Hogwarts is a school. There are wizards all over the world.
