Since we don't really have a thread for "Hey man this game is coming out" "Yo dawg I just got this game and it's pretty alright I guess I mean I suppose that it could have better graphics and the guns are pretty cool but I guess it's alright" conversations, I am making one.
To start it off, XCOM. I've just read a little bit about it, and I'd genuinely like to know why haters be hatin'.

I'll try it, but it just doesn't really interest me.

- Resident Evil Revelations
- Deus Ex Human Revolution
- Crackdown 2
And yeah, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. XD

I am completely neutral on X-Com, and the only game that I played (In memory) that comes close to it is RebelStar: Tactical Command for the GBA.
And I guess they be hatin' because it's something that's completely different than from what they remember, and that it's veering off the path of squad/turn-based strategy onto an FPS.
(Maybe considering the ratio of Squad/TBS to FPS in this day and age...)
It's already out in Japan, and none of you will purchase it (Download it, maybe, and drop it after 10 minutes before you could truly get into it), but Etrian Odyssey III.
No point in explaining why it's on my list.
And Star Wars: The Old Republic. But my computer can't run it. It's also the other part of my list.

The old X-Com series was one of those get addicted and lost in it for hours non stop. Getting that again would be awesome. Also Portal 2 is coming out soon, oh wait no, thanks Valve for pushing that back...again.

What kind of games are you looking for? There's a bunch I can recommend.
Shadow Complex is good if your looking for a fun adventure game in the style of Metroid.
The new BlackLight: Tango Down is a very fun Multiplayer FPS with highly customizable weapons.
Duke Nukem 3D is really fun.
There's both of the Monkey Island games, I've only played the first one, but if it's anything like the first it should be very fun, and full of good humor.
