This has to be a windup right? I mean a movie of World war Z I can see happening, but why would anyone buy the movie rights to The Zombie Survival Guide. It's essentially an encyclopedia

Yes, I have read them all. My point was nothing to do with World War Z. The article says a movie studio has optioned The Zombie Survival Guide. That seems bizarre to me.

Meh.
If they put the right effect and budget into it then the instructions can be shown in awesome ways. Ya know, almost like in Zombie land when in the beginning, we get some of "the rules" listed up.
Though if they were to make a movie of the book then it wouldn't be too unlikely that they refer to the last part of the book.

the plot of the ZSG could be like a comedy skit detailing each foretold scenario... on top of that...
it can be a propaganda movie
