So basically the show is a spin off of the idea of pitting warriors or soldiers from different time and era and facing them off with each other.
Of course the results would be base on the power and efficiency of a weapon.
Overall the show is like a intellectual kiddie argument about who is more bad ass lol.

and alot of crying from both side of the party... Its a good show but I find it ridiculous sometime.
Seriously?... a Yakuza using a Sai in battle?... seriously? LMAO!

I find this as a weak excuse to say who would win in a fight... Of course weapons were a factor in deciding victory.
But time and time again, even superior warriors were defeated by lesser equip enemies.

Shocked The show should showface instead military tactic deploy by the opposing party, who would be in charge, and how default commander in charge
would determine the course of action to take. Say for example Genghis Khan Army vs Alexander the Great Army,  or perhaps the Crip Gang Organization vs the Italian Mafia of the 50's with plausible determining factor and scenario for defeat and victory of each army.

:3 no.... but I think that would been a better suggestion of the show... rather then base everything on the power of a weapon.

The problem with your idea is that there would be even more factors, most of which are impossible to simulate. It's just easier to give each weapon certain 'kill points' or something. I'd guess they'd add in other factors, like maybe some formula to guess if it missed, or whatever.

But that doesn't justify which warrior would beat who... I mean can you honestly say that a Yakuza would fight with a sai against the mafia?.
I mean seriously that just kinda blunt... I mean even the classes of warrior pitted against each other was kinda ridiculous.

Ninja vs Spartan Warriors?... that is not even the same tier match.

They might against other Yakuza groups. But didn't the Mafia have Tommy Guns? I never saw that episode. It's like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Yeah the Yakuza was armed with the "Sten" and that was pitted against the Tommy.
But seriously Nunchaku and Sai... I lulz... Personally aside from the fire arm I don't think the Mafia or the Yakuza had a prefer special melee weapon
beside whatever they can find or what they on hands... say bat or iron pipe bar.

A Sten? A world war II era British 9mm SMG seem an unusual weapon for the Yakuza.

They were probably old-timey Yaks.

Anyhoo, I saw an episode of it- Viking vs. Samurai- and to be honest I thought it was ridiculous. They showed how the weapons were used, which was good. They only used the weapons against the corresponding weapon from the other side, which was bad. Seriously, the Viking just stood there waiting patiently with his shield slung over his back while the samurai fired arrows at him. Anyone stupid enough to not A. use the bloody shield and B. try to charge the bowman down wouldn't have survived his first raid. Or maybe even childhood...

I saw the Spetsnaz vs. Green Beret Episode, they we're testing the two different grenades, a Russian one, and an American one, now what was dumb is that the two tests performed we're completely different. They threw the Russian Grenade into a Washing Machine surrounded by Dummys, and then the American one in a small concealed room. They said the American one was better because the blast radius was bigger. But of course the blast radius isn't going to be big if you toss it in a fucking washing machine.
They also don't take into consideration the skill of the user either, they tested Makarov Pistol against Beretta 92. Makarov is 9x18mm MAK, and Beretta 9x19mm NATO. They said the Makarov is a better pistol because the dude landed more shots with it, that doesn't make the gun better, that makes the shooter better, I would have personally said the 92 is more accurate, and the 92 is highly regarded as a highly accurate pistol. The same can be said for the Sniper Rifle Challenge.

Well technically they were comparing the 50's version... as how the film was being portrayed out... I unno man
it still seemed like a King Kong vs Godzilla thing with all the fact wrong.
