So, there's a horror game coming out. From Atlus, the makers of the Persona series. Stoked as fuck.
This is a trailer that has things from video games in it.The game is action-adventure. You play Vincent, a salaryman (binkan, binkan~) who meets a sexy, mysterious girl named Catherine. She's 22, while he's like...32. Creepy age difference, which is on purpose most likely. Vincent starts having reoccurring nightmares, however, which is where the action comes into play. In each nightmare he has, he needs to climb staircases to reach the top. I think he has to fight evil sheep creatures and stuff. Or something? I dunno, it's fucking crazy. Which is what I love about it.
Also, the game is supposed to be mature, with heavy sexual undertones. As you can see from the trailer, I think there are boobies and lots of skin. I like the fact that a lot of the game is focused around lust. It's not trying to be anything other than what it is. Games like Heavy Rain and Mass Effect seem to just toss in random sex scenes for the audience's pleasure. This game, however, uses lust as an actual plot device (probably surrounding Vincent's sexual deprivation and the shit filling his brain), combined with a large element of horror. And we all know how disturbing it is to see lust and horror blended into the same setting (i.e. Silent Hill 2).
Here's the Wikipedia article for random other info. And
here is the website.
I'm not sure if or when it's coming out in elsewhere, but it'll be in Japan somewhere at the end of this year.
