Talk about what game moments just freaked you out.

I think the worst for me ever was in Resident Evil 2 when the licker jumps out from behind the mirror... I almost broke my window throwing the controller out of shock.

The original Silent Hill, playing it alone at midnight back when I was 13...pretty damn creepy.

Clock Tower on the PS1, just the general vibe of the game kind of gave me the creeps.

Yume Nikki, more of a general paranoia thing though. Mostly on the road in the forest with that bug noise and my wandering around the Dark World the first time. It's just a wide open pitch black area before you can transform into a lantern. There was also the first time I saw the Aztec Rave Monkey floating on the Forest World's floor, which is the first dream world I entered. I'm sure that sentence sounds really odd if you haven't experienced it for yourself.

That part in Hello Kitty's Big Fun Shit House where you have to murder that hostess and stuff her head into a Hello Kitty Doll.

You think I'm kidding?

Not so much scary (I have yet to be scared by a game) so much as just freaked out, but the bit in Fallout 3 in the Dunwich building where you hallucinate. In fact, I found pretty much the entire Dunwich building way creepier than the rest of the game so far.

I sort of jumped a few times during dead space, but other than that, I have yet to play a game that truly scares me.

Fallout 3. I was wandering the Wasteland, when I spot five Ghouls and a couple Deathclaws. "Oh shit, Deathclaws. Whatever, I'm level 20," I think.
The Deathclaws were immediately ripped apart by what I found to be, to my dismay, a pack of Ghoul Reavers, the toughest enemy in the game. I was crapping myself, trying to run  away. I didn't make it further than 100 feet.

Amnesia so far is just making me constantly anxious, so its not the sort of "ah *falls out of seat*" scary, but your heart rate is constantly high.

We may fail alone, but that is better than dying with them, only to be forgotten. I for one, would rather suffer now, than leave this life without passion.

Silent Hill 2 -- Radio white noise is steadily increasing but I can't see anything but a parked car and an empty street.  I'm armed with nothing but a nail bat and a pair of white knuckles (both in game and IRL), the noise gets louder but I still can't see anything coming for me.  Next thing I know, I take one step and one of those nasty guys whose upper torso is all wrapped up comes crawling out from under the car at warp speed.  Oh my shit... I lost it. Shocked

Thief - The haunted cathedral level. I played it when I was a young kid and was freaking out throughout the whole game, but this level made me resort to a cheat code because I was too afraid to play it.

Also: The Suffering, even though it was my friend playing it. I remember us both sitting there, hands shaking. And I had to stay at his place, because he was too afraid to play it alone.

Good times Smiley
