no, it was his real life mother who had started playing the game, and she was sending him presents everyday she played. Even though he made fun of her for playing the game.

I get that, but in the game Animal crossing, there is a "Mom" that mails you gifts, and if you just let the game go, like he did, your mailbox does fill up with mail, from your mom, with presents attached. And that is a much better joke than "Lol my mom mailed me presents then died lol."

The fact in one of the Halloween drops in Anarchy Online is a decoration for your flat called "Ceiling Leet" ( a leet is a small furry animal a bit like a hamster). Literally it's the upper half of a small furry thing poking out of a hatch that you can place on your ceiling, the decription reads "Ceiling Leet is watching you cyb0r." Dammit, that meme ain't dead even 30,000 years in the future.
