I will probably be posting more scarcely on this thread, and even more scarcely on the rest of the forum. I may not venture out there at all. I've been convinced that there was enough readers of my comic who were not morons to warrant finishing it, but I'm reluctant to come here anymore. I've been thoroughly disgusted, not as much by the people's behavior, it's very predictible simian mimetism to all bash on the uncool kid just because everybody does, but by the long winded excuses for doing so. You did something wrong, it would be more dignified to shut up about it instead of being full on morons to attempt to justify it.
Now for high school kids, while a very dumb habit, it is normal. Younger teens have typically bad self-esteem, finding arbitrary reasons to feel superior is expectable of them, as is that sheep mentality. They need comforting, they take it where they find it. For me, bullying stopped at what would be 9th year in the English system. Why? Because at 15 years old most people are too mature to keep it up. A place where most adults think it's a great idea to bully the uncool kid is not a place I want to be. If I got bullied in high school, it means I was an idiot who deserved it right? Well I shouldn't try to hang out with such intellectually superior people as you!
I'm disgusted by this place now. I'll try to finish HQ because I said I would, but coming here is not fun anymore.

Yeah, but no one would have thought "bring it to a Mod" if it hadn't been brought to their attention in that way. And with it out in the open like that, others know what not to do. Anyway. Dodom didn't say she was leaving per se, just posting less in the topic and not at all in the rest of the forums. So at least we get to see her a little here...But it's still not the same. DX |

I'm sorry about causing more drama... I wouldn't be honest if I said I'm not still angry, but I'm not against everyone and I know it creates a poor atmosphere for the rest.
I'm just upset about all this at the moment - and TZ, don't blame yourself, you're one of the most respectable people I know through the Internet, you brought up the problem, you didn't create it - and for now, I feel like coming here will still feel awkward in the future. Maybe the discomfort I have about visiting the forum will go away, but I can't predict that.
