A derilict battle cruisers husk floats slowly past a small moon. What spoils remain intact? Supplies, treasures, arcane technology or something far more sinister?

A shadow passes the hulking wreck.

The shadow is thrown from a much smaller sized ship.
 Upon its prow an adamantium ram, followed by a rank of torpedo tubes. Along the flanks a battery of balistic
weapons and a battery of laz mega cannons, able to turn a city sized area of a world into molten glass. On the belly of the craft lies an imense hanger, cabable of holding 20 shuttles or 10 armed assault craft, or a mixture of each.

At the rear of the ship Rising high up is the bridge. The cavernous gothic interior dotted with consoles manned by mono task droids, all under the supervision of several intelligent A.I's.
The rear quarter of the ship is given over to the engines which are cabable of pushing the ship into Faster Than Light (FTL) travel.

The ship's searchlights flood over the battered hull of the floating hulk before them. Emblazonig its name.
The captain of the smaller vessel grins as he see's his search has been bountiful indeed. The light from the console in front of him glints off His cyborg arm and off of his fangs.


The Captain of this cruiser is the Renowned (ex-) Admiral Cricco Sorridante. The vessel he has found was once his flagship, The Javelin. His new vessel, The Javelin Mk III.


So yeah... I decided i want to start this up again. I will actually HAVE story arcs planned out!

I will wait too see how many of youse guies wanna join up again.

There will be bounty hunters after us, but at a later date. The first part of it will be based upon going onto the wreck of the original ship. This startup bit is intended to reintigrate the characters together and get a sense of coherency.

The back story is a bit skewif.

Javelin 1: The crew was working for the Evil Corporation. The Javelin was a massive starship able to wipe out entire planets. It was originaly inspired by a silly thing in one of the older insanity threads by a now banned user called Marx, the Boss of the company. The company had near enough monopolised everything, from food to arms and mediciene and clothing etc. You name it they were in it.

It was one of those *go crazy* RPG's with about... fuck all in the way of story arcs.

Suffice to say a mad scientist was responsible for creating the ships AI which was a constructed lifeform, he was also responsible for turning a large part of the original crew in to anthromorphs/ furrys.

Javelin 2: Better to ask Hail.

HK i more had you in mind for being one of the AI's in command of a small squad of scout bots. So you'd get some NPC's if you'd like. Or you can sit tight and wait to continue being a Bounty hunter.

Wargear and the like is kind of based around warhammer 40k space wise it is based around firefly / battlefleet gothic.

Playable Races:

Human : Der.

Anthromorph: Requires you to be an original Javelin crewmember. This is when the mad scientist decided to tinker with the crews DNA. A human cross mamillian animal, The Admiral is a Human/Tiger for example.

AI: Bit of a harder role as the AI's are all in charge of several Lesser AI's at all times. There are Combat role AI's, like what i have in mind for HK, Enginiering AI's, in charge of the engines and then Bridge AI's, in charge of logistics, navigation etc.

"magic" based: Some humans and anthros are atuned to the untapped power of the mind able to create what appears to be magic. Anything is possible to a cost to the body. (but it will be limeted and the bigger the use the more painful the toll upon the body.)

Elvish: Like elves. Long lifespan and clever, may be a good shot or may be "magic" attuned.

NPC:
Servants: The NPC AI's. The ship churns them out as units are lost so they always come back. They are simple and mono tasked. but there are many.

Redcoats: Expendable living NPC's. Have fun with them, add some form of character to them.

Baddies: they differ in variety and to keep ya'll on toes I wont list them all.
If theres many of them feel free too slaughter.

Players NPC's : If a character is interacting with someone, dont touch unless they give you an opening. This also includes the AI characters NPC servants.

Ships:

The Javelin Mk III is as described up at the start. It has a large mess hall in the core of it. Normal folks, including redcoats, acomidation is near here. Officer accomidation is nearer the bridge, the captains cabain and the officers mess are on flanking sides of the bridge. Other then that feel free to make up a bit, just keep in sync.

Shuttles: there are ten of these. They can transport 10 people in total, two as crew. It can fit four if laden with cargo. they have a small auto cannon mounted on the prow for self defense., They are quite nippy. All ten have a different name and a shaped differently.

Fighter craft: There are three of these including the captains personal one. They take three crew for optimum efficiency, but can be manned by an individual. They have two wing mounted laser cannons and a top double assault cannon which can be fired in a 360 arc. They can hold six aditional fully suited and armed personel. It can either carry a small APC or a modest payload of bombs or a vacum torpeado. Again they differ.

Both the shuttle and fighter can operate in space and in the air.

I will post the Admirals bio at a later date, If there is enough intrest in this then it will be started up sometime after enxt weekend, the joys of moving house...
