Hey, I went to Vegas and never set a single foot on The Strip....mostly because I couldn't afford it as I was there for business, but still....

Right, but visiting family or taking a business trip isn't the same as going on vacation.

I kind of get what Stan's saying about not wanting to be too touristy, though. There's a lot more to see in San Francisco than the typical tourist attractions. A lot of places that aren't filled with sweaty, loud, annoying people who say they "toured San Francisco" but only saw a few overrated tourist sites that everyone and their mother knows about. To get the best out of SF (and any place) you have to find the places in the nooks and crannies. Places not everyone knows about that always end up being 10x better than the other crap. Which is why research is good to do beforehand, actually...
Speaking of finding places in nooks and crannies, I can't find a decent store that sells retro games anywhere in SF. Fucking ridiculous. I'm gonna put poop all over everything until I find one.

Kids these days and their emulators for games that cost more than a new release. And why didn't we get Shining Force Feather in North America? I sure as hell didn't see it in the two stores I frequented.

Leaving tomorrow... It was fun. Thanks for having me, Bay Area and surrounding counties!
And IMHO, Amoeba<Rasputin
I mena, As far as selection and attitude of employees go, Rasputin is way better. I know. Biggest record store ever is run by judgemental dicks who are sick of tourists? Smalltime record store that builds up not wide run by the nicest guys ever and has a more various selection at better prices. Seriously, I am now, like... three or four albums short of a nofx discography now. each of those albums on average would run me about twenty bucks each back home.

Wut. Sammich was definitely searching for some Genesis stuff, and M.U.S.H.A. don't come cheap son. Or Shining force complete.
Who said anything about paying for piracy software for games they don't sell in stores for cheap or in general without hunting high and low for ludicrous wallet-raping prices? You damn crazy kids and your batshit crazy moon logic.

Any travelers die of dysentery yet? You made it sound like emulators were more expensive than new game releases! Old people and their misleading sentences. >:C
Damn straight it was misleading youngster! You kids need to read inbetween the lines and through the lines and the lines so us older folk don't have to tell it to you straight! It's in the book that we don't specify and clarify what we mean. Now I'm not going to wake up on time for Matlock in the morning. I'll get you next time, you meddlers!
