I saw this posted on Reddit and I thought it would be nice to share:

The Big F&#*G Wheel Room

Somewhere behind a secret door there is a plain hallway leading to a large (20x10) room. The room is bare with the exception of a mammoth ratcheted windlass on one wall, an empty table and a rack of large, wooden poles (think fat pool cues standing vertically).
The wooden rods fit into the outer circumference of the wheel/windlass and there is a worn path along the floor that clearly implies that the system is set up to crank the windless from right to left. It will take 2 strong men to push the wheel, which will rotate slowly with enormous clicking and clacking and straining wood sounds and the occasional screech of metal on metal. If it's pushed enough the party will hear several loud thuds as something wooden slams home into something else wooden somewhere around them.
In the room, however, nothing will happen.
Given enough time, the party will discover that they've reset every trap in the dungeon.

Over at r/rpg/ at Reddit have a weekly contest for things. One was doing a Remix of Elves. The winner said;

They eat their own children because thats what makes them immortal. Thats why the elf birth rate is so low and their forests are locked down cause if any other race saw this they might be frowned upon, heavily.

The other thing I saw was the GM had the party encounter a band of Gnolls, but some escaped. The ones that escaped were the stronger, quicker, smarter ones. After some time, those Gnolls bred a new tribe of Gnolls who were better then average Gnoll's and they kept hunting down the party and what not, getting stronger each time.

I've decided to do something like that, but with goblins.

EDIT: I want them to fight a Blue Dragon at some point, but I don't know what age the dragon should be. For right now, the characters are all level 8, and there is at least 1 pure Fighter, and I believe a Wild Mage.

I'm most likely going to have them face a Young Adult, or a slightly weakened Adult, so he still has cool stuff but doesn't rape them.

Make them face an adult, but put something in the room, like some kind of rickety ancient structure that can fall on the dragon or whatnot. Face them with a situation that is kind of terrifying to a D&D player (A grown dragon, for example), but put the tools into their hands actually give them a chance. Don't plop it into their hands ("You walk into the ancient chamber, mountains of gold and jewels glittering in the corners. A massive blue wyrm slumbers atop one of the central piles. Oh, and there's a big rock hanging loosely from the ceiling."), make them actually think about it, check out the room themselves, something like that.

I like that idea. I'd go Young Adult though, cause if it was an Adult, they would be dead before they figured it out.

Yeah. Does anybody know any good riddles or logic puzzles or stuff like that I might be able to use for the dungeon?
