Hmm... How does it work? Just "I punch you in the dick." "Yep, that happens." or what?
You have an energy pool that you split between your various powers and defense. Every 'page' all the power you spent (you don't have to spend all of it) goes away, and you regen a certain amount (decided by either your int, or your durability). Everything happens nominally at once. Basicly...everyone allocates their energy. Then everyone declares their actions/attacks. Then people can reallocate energy (limited to whatever they allocated the first time around). Finally, damage is dealt/actions happen. If you're doing things that are order-sensitive (say...someone runs up to a person, and punches them, but that person is shooting at them with a gun), order of events is decided by speed. (if the person doing the punching has a speed of 3, and the person doing the shooting only has a 2, the punch lands before the shot is fired). However, if 2 people are both meleeing, they happen simultaniously (so even if your attack knocks them out, they still might deal damage to you).

I was hit by a large D10 die last night. It hurt and it left a bruise ;A;
Anyroad, I played Exalted last night and my character was blinded by a man by slicing my eyes and then I regained my vision by a giant robotic spider who gave me jade [the main material in the game] eyes. It was pretty nifty. Now, I can be the scholarly character once again!

I was playing Shadowrun last night and our group was interrupted on the highway by a group of spiked wheel trolls riding along on thundergods. Two elves driving a truck vs. four ganger trolls with not much on their mind except "More pointy ears for my necklace" and "Oh man, nice tight elfbutt."
Fuck that. I put the car on autopilot and lean out the window and proceed to kill two of them in two shots while one of my partners rides up behind the third bike in back and promptly shoots out all three tires (There was a sidecar). My character ended the encounter by slapping the his buddy on the arm and just saying "Fucking trolls, right?"
Atticus is such a badass.

So, How about now you post either your personal favorite game system (D&D, Firefly, Alternity, Shadowrun, etc etc), or maybe your own character and a short description of him/her.
As previously mentioned, my favorite system is World of Darkness, and my group is currently playing a game of Mage: The Awakening. My character is Damian Hess (aka MC Frontalot). This character and my previous werewolf character have no skill points in brawl, weaponry, or firearms at all; I've found that I really enjoy being forced to think creatively since I can't fall back on fighting, and it lets the other players take all the glory from the fighting since they enjoy it so much. My favroite moment so far is getting the highest roll on initiative and talking our way out of a fight to a tentacle monster that was approaching us, everyone else assumed it was violent and was about to kill it.

I had a couple of wizard characters in tabletop D&D where I took no offensive spells. One pretty much ended up being a thief, substituting skills with spells.

Hmm, I don't, but I'm surprised I've never heard of one, it seems like it could have its own cult following. You could always GURPS it if there isn't one. *shrug*

Mmm. If it weren't for people having already made a fair load of characters, I'd have said 'sod it, lets do 4th ed instead'.
