I heard the book was fantastic, but I digress.
I saw the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as well and thought it was hands down amazing! Loved it so much.

I watched Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as well. I liked it, but it felt like the story dragged in places.

I saw the original Swedish one and liked it but yea, it dragged. The sequels dragged even worse. I can't get excited about rewatching it. And from what I've seen the girl playing Lisbeth in the remake isn't as... "dynamic" would probably be a good word.

I can understand that. The ending was like the ending of Return of the King with all the endings and the movie just keeps going. But, I still enjoyed it. I saw the original Swedish one and liked it but yea, it dragged. The sequels dragged even worse. I can't get excited about rewatching it. And from what I've seen the girl playing Lisbeth in the remake isn't as... "dynamic" would probably be a good word.
See, I never watched the Swedish one (it's been in my queue STARING at me to watch it, but I never did.) One of the reasons I went was because it was last minute because no one was available to watch Tin Tin. But, from what I hear (from others who have watched the Swedish and read the book) that Lisbeth was made into a more central character in the American movie than in others. In the book and movie, she is a side character, but I think Fincher wanted her to be a more dynamic character and a likeable person ... I guess? ? ? for the audience since she's more of a central character in the other two books. V V I dunno, I understand people's viewpoints on the movie and I'll watch the Swedish and I'm reading the book to get the differences and stuff. I saw War Horse and Tin Tin. Both great.

I'm surprised at how little the Uncanny Valley of Tin Tin bothered me.

Cracked does that. When I watched an old-timey Batman movie, with the villain as the Penguin, all I could do was snicker. After watching the Dark Knight series, I cannot appreciate the old Batman.

Watched the second part of Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows without watching the first part. It saved time, I suppose, but since the first thing I saw was Dobby's grave, I ROFLed. Never even knew how it happened and then BAM!

It really is. I saw it shortly before Killzone came out and I still can't see Helghan troops without thinking "rip-off". I saw the new Sherlock Holmes last night, very good. I would almost say it's as good as the first. The epilogue was a bit overdone though. It should have just ended when Watson recognized the contents of the package IMO. It was cool to see Noomi Rapace in something post "Girl with the dragon tattoo" trilogy but it felt like they didn't really use her considerable acting ability to anywhere near its full potential here.

Idiocracy. A world where the highest rated show is a guy getting hit repeatedly in a junk and the winner of 8 (Or six) Oscars and one for best screenplay is a man's ass in the epic called Ass. Stupid fun with 5/4 jokes being dirty and a sweet extra after the end credits.
