So I liked the movie, but it wouldn't hurt if it was a bit more thought out:P

Memento. I know, I know, it's taken me years to get round to it and I'm glad I did. Downside is it's impossible to discuss with anyone who hasn't seen it and if you have seen it you'll only ever want to see it once. But I always say never trust free beer in a strange pub...

I rented the Fright Night remake over the weekend and was surprisingly pleased with it.  I'll give a short run down of things I liked better in each version.  The remake lacked the iconic branding Evil Ed's forehead with the cross scene which was one of the highlights of the original movies special effects and is one of the scenes anyone who saw the film always remembers.  (Check out this link to original appliance used and pics.)  I missed Jerry the Vampires creepy golem/watchman from the original but given the setting in this film it would have been redundant.  Which is a nice segue into mentioning the setting which I liked a lot.  A vampire living in a Las Vegas suburb with the mostly transient population and night owls being the norm made much more sense than a vampire moving into a California suburb.  David Tennant did an awesome job (naturally) but I missed the cheestastic spin Roddy McDowall had on the character and the scene where he charges a vampire with the stake held backward was sorely missed.  (Yes, it's in there, go rewatch the original Cheesy)  I also think Peter Vincent being a TV show host worked better than the Vegas act but David Tennants awesomeness carried the role nicely.  And on the subject of performances I will say that Colin Farrel did good job being creepy/smarmy without falling into the rotten cheese (yes, the polar opposite of cheestastic) flavor of the original Jerry.  This film also did a good job explaining the lost friendship angle between Charley and Evil Ed (which was dropped from the original and you only got if you read the novel which was based, as most movie novels are, on an earlier draft of the script) AND they still managed to have Evil Ed use his catch phrase "you're so cool Brewster" which I almost stood and cheered for after hearing.  Other notable differences... the fight at the end was less anti climactic than the "break window, kill vampire” ending of the original and the need for a specific stake to undo the vampires minions was a better plot hook IMO.  Overall a fun movie if you like either non sparkly vampire movies, the original Fright Night or both.

Finally got around to watching Inception. I thought it was really good, and I also believe that if any part after the beginning confused you, you're probably dumb.

Hope that answers some questions. :3

Also, saw Doom again, the movie. Its really not that bad of a video game movie, there's some really pants on head retarded "Science" shit they tried to throw in that was dumb, and The Rock turning all evil all of a sudden for no apparently reason was silly too. Not terrible though.

Saw Dr. Horribles Sing Along Blog, since it was up on YouTube, apparently. It was quite good, though I was expecting it to be the length of a movie and not 40 minutes, so I was a little disappointed it ended so soon.

Just saw Ted a few days ago. It was pretty darn funny (and raunchy).

Dunno if I should put this under a spoiler or not, but...

Saw this weird Korean film which was kinda like "The Hangover." But all of it happening at a Gas Station. The film was call "Gas Station Attack."
A very insane and hilarious movie, but too slow for my taste.
