I calculated the odds of this succeeding against the odds I was doing something incredibly stupidů and I went ahead anyway.

Watchmen ultimate cut.  I loved it and yet even for a rabid fan boy nigh on 4 hours is A LONG time to sit there watching one movie.

Watch First Squad: The Moment of Truth"

Half Anime, Half real life documentary and its about a Soviet Unit trained with psyche ability to take on the Nazi Army who
are attempting occult to bring back and Undead Crusade Army to aid their cause in the war for the Soviet Motherland.

D: So far... So good. I'm still surprise to see one of the main character carrying a Katana...I mean Japan and Russia afterall were at war with one another.

I'd watch the ultimate cut over the theatrical version any day. And I loved the theatrical version.

Watching District 9 atm. Watched Brothers Grimm before this, and might watch some Firefly later

My friend convinced me to buy Almost Famous, even though I wasn't all that excited about it and tried to hint that I'd rather watch something else.

Long story short, it's now pretty much my favorite movie and has inspired me to take a road trip following some band when I graduate.

"Hold me closer tiny dancerrrrrrr..."

Watched "Donnie Darko" and I'm convinced that it is the film equivalent to Catcher in the Rye. Some people really like the movie because they get it's more complex undertones but still can view it as a good film on it's own merit. HOW-AY-VER, the most vocal fanbase idolizes the movie just because they know that it is supposed to be "deep." They don't get it, but they pretend that they do. This is also why some critics would sooner call Catcher in the Rye/Donnie Darko "emo-entertainment." Yeah, they're kind of emo, but they are deconstructions of the theme, not actual examples.

...ahem...I watched Donnie Darko.  Embarrassed

That's pretty much my exact opinion on that movie.

Just finished watching Eureka Seven: Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers.
It was uh... Weird, to say the least; wasn't really a lot in common with the series except for characters, but still had a 'baw'-ish ending.
I watched the credits, and they ended at exactly 11:30, and my desktop is set to change every half hour, and when it did, it changed into one of my Neon Genesis Evangelion wallpapers.
I think my computer is tryin' to sway my interests in anime

Porco Rosso for about 10-20 minutes, and then it froze.
My computer wouldn't play Castle in the Sky or Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, so I'll probably try again tomorrow on my DVD player.

Zoolander.

Funny, but unimpressive. I was sort of disappointed because my friend Nick loves that movie and because of the way he talks about it my expectations were much higher.
