230 - Hat! & Thursday Update!
Posted on 2010-01-11 00:00:00
Yeah, THE HAT actually has a back-story too :P

Also!
I have been getting quite a few emails and questions about starting up your own webcomic, about what it takes, what to look out for, colouring, printing, etc etc so I have decided that since I am learning about the whole webcomic production myself, that it would be a fun idea to start documenting my adventures of, um, this, doing the webcomic, that I am doing, to assist people and have them glean off of my mistakes, and my successes, to better help them with their own adventures. This will be updated as often as possible, or basically when I have a good tidbit of information to share with you all. :)

Mind you, these are my own guidelines, experiences, and my own solutions to the problems and issues I have encountered along the way, so basically: this is NOT 'the absolute you have to do it way' of doing things, there are probably multiple different solutions to one problem. Do what works for you!

But yes. I'll post ramblings in here, so you guys can comment on it, and add to it, so I can make one big wall-o-text thing later so you can read all in one chunk. So! Have anything you want to hear in particular? Besides tutorial stuff like colouring and laying out a comic. Cause I already did that. :)

EDIT: I was regrettably unable to participate, but I wanted to give a shout out to the Comic Creator's Alliance:

"We're a group of Web Comic Creators, who have come together, volunteering our artistic talents to raise money for the purpose of ending human trafficking in the world today.
There are currently 27 million enslaved people worldwide- more than double the number of enslaved Africans during the trans-Atlantic slave trade. UNICEF estimates that 1.2 million children every year are sold into slavery, most of it sexual. The US Department of Justice estimates 16,000 victims of human trafficking are brought into the United States every year.
Web Comic Creators from all over the world are working together on a single drawing which will be available as a downloadable wallpaper for readers who donate to our fund raising drive!"

Please donate to their charity! It's for an amazing cause, the artwork features characters from many of your favourite webcomics.
Hopefully I will be able to participate next time! :)

Oh and there will be A THURSDAY UPDATE. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Original script for 01-11-2010:
This script may not match the finished comic! It will, however, contain the original spelling errors and other mistakes.
[First panel is of jenny from above, she is sitting cross-legged and has a box of photographs scattered about around her. She is looking at one, you zoom in on the pic and you see that it it's a picture of a little girl (Jenny) Holding an oddly familiar bear.]

[Suddently the hat falls on her head]

Jenny: Milo! What. [looks at hat and smiles]

Milo: Fixed the ear.

Jenny: I was wondering where it went. [puts it on her head better]

Milo: Glad you like it so much. [sits on her bed and smiles]

Jenny: Of course! You made it, err salvaged what was left of it. [takes hat off and lays in bed with Milo she has a bit of a sadface]

Milo: You gonna be okay? Still thinking about home?
